off-ice training with Joleen Goodfellow

A dryland (off-ice) regimen consisting of jump and spin classes, strength training, cardio workout, and core and flexibility exercises to enhance agility, balance, coordination, endurance, and skill that skaters need to complement their on-ice training.

A specially-created dance curriculum involving expressive dance styles that combines elements of modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet to help skaters translate their ice program music into fluid dance movements and cohesive choreography.

Utah Ice Dance Academy offers figure skaters a well-rounded training experience that enhances their technical skills, artistic expression, and overall skating abilities. Incorporating elements of ice dance into skating can elevate performances and bring a greater depth of artistry to ice programs.
